Challenge

Despite pioneering the introduction of stevia sweeteners to the U.S. market, Stevita Naturals faced stagnating sales and declining brand awareness amidst rising competition. To reinvigorate their market presence and reconnect with modern consumers, a comprehensive refresh of their brand identity and packaging design was essential.


Strategy

Our team began with a deep dive into the natural sweetener category, studying competitor identities and market cues to identify opportunities for clear differentiation. A strategy was developed to elevate Stevita Naturals with a cleaner, fresher, and more modern design direction, enhancing quality perceptions and repositioning it as a premium brand. Recognizing the needs of an indie CPG brand, our engagement was structured to support Stevita’s growth trajectory, allowing us to evolve the brand systematically across key touchpoints over several months.


Solution

A revitalized brand identity became the cornerstone of the solution, featuring a clean, bright color palette, welcoming modern typography, and an elegant hummingbird icon—a direct response to retail partner requests for enhanced on-shelf memorability. This potent new symbol of Stevita's natural, South American origins was consistently applied across their extensive product portfolio, from classic packets to innovative lines like 'Stevita BOOST' drink mixes and 'Baking Sugar Alternatives'. The redesigned packaging system created a unified family look that prominently showcased key certifications like 'USDA Organic' and 'Fair Trade', and this refreshed identity was then seamlessly extended to digital touchpoints, including the StevitaNaturals.com homepage and social media templates, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.


Results

The comprehensive brand transformation sparked immediate positive feedback from retail buyers and resonated strongly with consumers. This led to a reported sales increase in every category where the new branding and packaging were introduced. The revitalized branding not only bolstered Stevita Naturals' market position against a wave of newer competitors but also powerfully reaffirmed its enduring commitment to offering clean, better-for-you sweeteners to discerning, health-conscious consumers.
